Life is so complicated. My cousin went through a terrible miscarriage last week and lost the baby. (The baby that would have been family member #113.) I can't even imagine how devastated she must feel.

Yesterday my friend Heidi had a baby boy, Peter. Her husband is a JAG officer stationed in Iraq. I'm not sure how, but he managed to get a 10-day leave to come home and be with mom and the baby. She is exhausted, but incredibly happy to have him home even if just for a few days.

This morning, a member of my extended family, Bobbie, passed away. She was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed.

The circle of life is truly amazing.

Flip through this month's issue of Playboy. The girls in the ad for The Palms are family. Yea, obviously those genes did not pass my way. argh.

What did I do today? Washed the dog. Hmm, don't be jealous of the sexy life I lead.

Not even kidding. . . add one more baby-in-progress to the list of family. My cousin is expecting #113. Unbelieveable.

And on the non-family front, I learned this week that L&H are expecting their first. Baby Tex Vandy.
