Turning Tides
Yesterday I had a totally shitty day. Today was the exact opposite. . .
I found out my dear friends the Vanderbloemen's are expecting a little one. Hurray!! It's about damn time!
I finally got the new Van Morrison cd, I've been jonesing for it since the first time I heard "Stranded". That song is intoxicating. Despite a couple of rocky parts, the cd does not disappoint.
I spent the last $$$ of my Banana Republic gift certificate. Okay, I used it to buy button down shirts for a future job, but it was still fun.
And just as I was checking out at Target with my toothpaste and deodorant, the dvd A Lot Like Love somehow jumped into my hands and begged me to purchase it. I did. Call me sappy, but I love it. Brown Sugar sets the scale, but A Lot Like Love is on it.
And last but not least, my mom bought me a copy of Toni Morrison's novel Love. Powerful stuff.
