It's good to splurge every once in a while, right? Well, I confess I have. Between the way I've been feeling lately and my impending birthday, there was a sense of entitlement in it too.

The splurge itself was nothing huge, but I am really really enjoying the treat. First, curtains. I happened upon them the other day and absolutely loved them. So, I thought about it a few days and went back and bought them. Second, soap. I know that sounds strange, but a few years ago I came across some oatmeal buttermilk soap at one of my favorite resorts and I've been searching for it ever since. I found it online the other day and as it turns out it isn't sold in any stores in the U.S. So, I ordered it straight from London.

I guess you know you're getting old when new soap and curtains are considered a splurge and you take pleasure in them.
