Geraldine Ferraro can bite my shiny metal ass

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

-Ferraro, a Hillary fundraiser, to a California newspaper this week

Listen Geraldine, just because you were a token candidate doesn't mean Obama is.

And then, unbelievably, she goes on Fox News (!) and says this:

"Any time anybody does anything that in any way pulls this campaign down and says let's address reality and the problems we're facing in this world, you're accused of being racist, so you have to shut up. Racism works in two different directions. I really think they're attacking me because I'm white. How's that?"

Hey Geri: FUCK. YOU.

Update: OK I'm calmer now. Here's some humor.

Update II: This was not a gaffe. This was a carefully-coordinated public statement containing racist code language, designed to appeal to voters in Pennsyltucky. If that's the candidate you want - if that's the world you want - then bravo. But if Hillary doesn't realize that this scorched-earth policy won't doom her in November, she's smoking crack.

Update III: When you're in a hole, keep digging.

Update IV: The hits just keep on comin'.

"I will raise money for Hillary. And if Barack Obama is the candidate, he better not antagonize people like me. Because he's going to come to me and ask me to raise money for Barack Obama. And I would do it for him, too - if he stops doing these kind of horrific attacks at me."

-Geri "Dog Whistle" Ferraro, on Fox News (again)

Perhaps Barack Obama can find a nice way to tell Geri Ferraro where she can stick her money. He's good with that sort of thing.

Eric H:

On second thought, maybe it'll be helpful for BO if Geri just keeps right on opening her big ol' NY mouth.

And is it just me, or is she starting to look just a little bit like Lady Elaine from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood?

Larry N. Crawford:

You go boyeee! Telling it like it is,.Just the facts. Let her keep yacking that trap of hers spewing out what's obviously in their hearts. Better for BO. Barf, Barf!!!
